Oakland refurbished the famous CHALK4PEACE sign on 47th and
Adeline Sts. Afterwards they drew messages of peace and danced
and sang a beautiful empowering routine.
Joaquin Alejandro Newman, Destiny's Artist in Residence, led more
than 25 artists over to the site to brighten the wall and remind others
that CHALK4PEACE IS COMING TO A SIDEWALK NEAR YOU!
DESTINY ARTS CENTER, in conjunction with theN. OAKLAND COMMUNITY CHARTER SCHOOL
will hold their CHALK4PEACE on Sunday, Sept. 21...
noon-4:00. 43rd Street between Linden and Adeline, Oakland.
